Dodgeville Co-Op gymnasts win conference meet, set school team scoring mark, break 140

Dodgeville Co-Op gymnasts broke the school record again. This time at the SWC Conference meet, topping 140 for the first time.

They prepare to host Division 2 Sectionals Saturday, February 28.

Teams participating are: Dodgeville Co-Op, Monona Grove, Mount Horeb, Platteville Co-Op, River Valley Co-Op, Southwestern Co-Op and Watertown.

The top two teams and top five individuals in each event will advance to State March 6-7 at Wisconsin Rapids.

Dodgeville Co-Op’s Maddy Klein won three events plus All Around with teammate Faith Hoffman winning the other event and taking second in All Around.

Dodgeville Co-Op coach Julia  Oellerich said about the accomplishment:

“I couldn’t be more proud of how this team showed up at Conference. They competed with confidence, supported each other on every routine, and trusted the work they’ve been putting in all season. When they stay present and compete for each other, special things happen.

“To see so many athletes earn All-Conference honors is a testament to their consistency and commitment. These athletes show up in the gym every day ready to work, and it’s rewarding to see that dedication recognized.

This was a big step for us, but we know there’s more work to do. The girls are hungry, they’re focused, and we’re excited to carry this momentum into Sectionals.”
