As you reflect upon what you are thankful for this holiday season, hopefully some of the 2025 programs, services and events in Iowa County will come to mind. Whether it be something that helped you or a family member in a time of need, or a fun activity that the youth of our community were able to experience, many have been beneficiaries of our local nonprofits this past year. The United Fund of Iowa County (UFIC) Board of Directors is reminding residents that donations are needed to continue supporting Iowa County nonprofits in 2026. In the spring of 2025, UFIC awarded 16 grant applications which supported events, programs and services for many Iowa County residents.

Those that have generously given in the past, your local support is appreciated. For those that have not given and are able to do so, please consider UFIC as a way to make a meaningful impact in our community, especially in this season of giving. By giving, you support the UFIC mission:

• To lead a united effort that improves the quality of life in our community

• To support community health and human service needs

• To raise and distribute financial resources

Donations for the current fundraising year can be made up until January 20, 2026, with grants being awarded to applicants meeting eligibility criteria in March 2026. Any donations received after January 20, 2026 will be applied to the 2026-2027 fundraising campaign. You may donate through Venmo, the UFIC website at www.unitedfundiowacounty.org or mail your donation in the form of a check to United Fund of Iowa County, P.O. Box 63, Dodgeville, WI 53533. Donors should consult your tax advisor, as your gift may be tax deductible.
