Heat and rain doesn’t stop Cobb Corn Roast

It was extremely hot the first few days of the annual Cobb Corn Roast and then the rain came Sunday morning and lasted until around 1:00. Even though the free sweet corn, chicken BBQ and music went inside the Community Building/Fire  Station, there was enough of a window open to hold the annual parade down Highway 18 through the village. Some of the features from the parade are Parade Marshal retired Cobb Village Public Works Director Mark Flanagan; a float with youngsters carrying the parade theme - Out of This World. A fierce game of volleyball going on.
