Volunteers needed to build Driftless Trail near Spring Green
Driftless Area Land Conservancy, based in Dodgeville, is constructing a public-access, long distance hiking trail that will connect the Lower Wisconsin State Riverway, near Spring Green, with Governor Dodge and Blue Mound State Parks.
Hikers, trail runners, and snowshoers will cross mostly private lands as they explore the ridges and valleys of northeastern Iowa County. Currently, seven miles of the Driftless Trail are open to the public and twenty more miles of trail are planned, thanks to sixteen generous landowners who have agreed to make part of their property accessible for the public to enjoy...
