It was less than ideal when it came to conditions of play for the Cardinals.
“It was a long, hot day for us,” said Wineski. “We played our first game around 9:30 and then played four games in a row with a 10 minute break after our second match and wrapped our play up a little after 2 p.m. With that kind of schedule, the girls didn’t have a lot of time to rest their legs and relax like most tournaments allow for.”
Wineski was very pleased with her team’s effort.
“My team played hard all day and we learned a lot about the things we need to work on,” Wineski said. “We were the only team that had that kind of schedule.”
