Sandra Jean Coy, age 78 of Mineral Point, passed away on October 6, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born December 18, 1946, in Richland Center, the daughter of Robert Leo and Bernice (Schlafer) Osborne.
She was the oldest of five siblings with two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Osborne (deceased) and Ronald "Roy" (Marlah) Osborne (Fitchburg) and two sisters, Connie Faulkner (Prairie Du Chien), and Vickie (Erroll) Wilson (Richland Center).
Sandra graduated from Richland Center in 1965 and married the love of her life, Larry Gene Coy. They had three children: a son, Tony and two daughters, Sonya and Shantel. She was the best stay at home mom as the children grew up. She was the local Avon lady for 30 years.
She and Larry were co-owners of Midway Lane bowling alley from 1979-1989. Her hobbies included spending time with friends on a weekly bowling team. She was a great cook. Her homemade fried chicken and noodles were a family favorite. She loved all types of music with Elvis Presley being her favorite artist. She loved her dogs Benji and lil' Star.
Sandra battled a long and exhausting illness. She showed immense strength and perseverance through the last seven and ½ years of treatment.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. and Bernice Osborne; her parents-in-law, Eddie and Frances Coy; her brother Robert "Bobby" Osborne and brother-in-law, Jim Faulkner.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Larry Coy; her son, Tony Coy (Monfort); daughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Scott Hughes (Florida); daughter Shantel Coy (Florida); granddaughter, Jordyn Coy (Milwaukee); grandsons, Valentino Coy (Madison) and Casanova Coy (Lenayah Simonsen) (Monfort) and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
In keeping with Sandra's wishes, there will be no formal services. She will be laid to rest in a private service at a later date at Graceland cemetery.
Special thanks to Diana Klingaman, her loving sister-in-law, for all the love, care, and attention along with her nephew, Blake and niece, Hannah.
The family would like to give thanks to the nurses and staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center for the support and compassionate care they gave to Sandra and her family.
