Barbara Rule Osborn of Burnsville, MN passed away on March 6, 2023, after a lengthy battle with glioblastoma. She passed peacefully at her home with her husband Ron, sister Nancy and mother-in-law Elaine by her side.

Barb was born October 1, 1956, to Elmer and Fama Rule in Dodgeville, WI and grew up on a farm near Dodgeville. In high school, Barb was an active musician, cheerleader and excellent student, graduating Valedictorian in 1974. She pursued her education and became an expert paralegal, specializing in commercial real estate transactions. Barb worked for several law firms in Madison, WI including Foley & Lardner and finished her career at Reinhart Law.

On July 4th, 1999, she met Ron Osborn and they were married August 25, 2001. They spent 22 years together, rarely apart until her passing. Their lives were filled with laughter due in no small measure to their shared sense of humor.
Barb had many interests, including football (avid Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers fan, she even wore her Packers jersey watching games during her illness), golf, entertaining, and traveling with Ron. Avid car enthusiasts and members of the local Viper Club, Barb and Ron went on many excursions with close friends cruising, racing, and socializing.

Barb was preceded in death by her father Elmer Rule (2001) and her mother Fama Rule (2021). She is survived by her beloved husband, Ron Osborn, her sister, Nancy Rule and brother, Steve Rule. Also mourning her loss are many extended family members and friends.

The celebration of Barb's life will be held on Saturday, May 6th at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Cobb, WI. There will be a visitation at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m., and a lunch following the service, at noon.
