(Sitts), Ila K. Maughan

Ila K. Maughan (Sitts), age 80 of Dodgeville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Ila was born in Lanscaster on September 26, 1942 to George and Delphine Sitts. 

Ila met the love of her life, Dave Maughan, in Madison in 1967, and they married on May 11, 1968. 

She loved to garden, provide her family with delicious home cooked meals like Spanish Fluff and amazing home baked desserts like chiffon cakes, staying up to date on current affairs by reading multiple newspapers, and knitting. 

Ila is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dave; her son, Dan (Maria); her grandchildren, Tom and Hannah; a sister, Dixie (Paul) Matt; a brother, Stanley Sitts; sister-in-law, Nola Sitts; brothers-in-law, Ralph Rasmussen and Fred (Bonnie) Maughan; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her father- and mother-in-law, George and Phyllis Maughan; her brother, Jim Sitts; and sisters-in-law, Irene Rasmussen and Shirley Sitts. 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, Dodgeville. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM.
