Fischer, Ryan David
Ryan David Fischer, age 47, of Mineral Point passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, in his home.
Ryan was born on February 28, 1976, the son of Ron and Ellen (Evans) Fischer. Ryan married the love of his life, Tammy Wagner, on August 15, 2009. He graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1994. Ryan's quick wit, sly smile, and honest commentary, started early in life, allowing him to create and maintain lifelong friendships. To know Ryan was to love him.
He started his technology career at Lands' End, landing at UW-Madison Hospitals & Clinics. In 2019 Ryan proudly graduated from UW Stout with his well-earned Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.
On June 27, 2014, Ryan and Tammy welcomed Ella Genevieve and Joseph Ronald, making their family perfectly complete. All those around them knew Ryan and Tammy completed each other. Tammy could devise the best plans and Ryan would make sure it happened. He literally was the "Best Dad Ever" (with the coffee cup to prove it), building, creating, devising, and executing, whatever Joseph & Ella could dream up. They lived life completely, enthusiastically, and always together.
Ryan's presence filled the room in the calmest of ways. He was a problem-solver – always figuring out the solution to anyone's concerns. For someone who (constantly) professed to hate people, he had a unique and lovable ability to charm his way into your heart.
Ryan claimed to be happiest alone, but he was truly happy spending time with his family, especially on their adventures. These adventures could be anywhere within driving distance, or in the backyard oasis he created for his family and his best friend, Brewer. Ryan was an extremely charismatic, kind, funny, and thoughtful man.
Along with his family, Ryan is survived by his mom, Ellen. His brother, Craig (Ashley) Fischer, nephews Leo, Zane, and Lugh of Noblesville, Indiana. His sister, Carissa, nephew Evan and niece Brianna, of Mineral Point. His mother-in-law Carolyn Wagner. His brother-in-law, John, niece Maria and nephew Ty, all of Prairie du Chein. He is also survived by many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and many (many) friends.
Ryan was preceded in death by his dad, Ron (2010), and father-in-law Tom Wagner (2012); his grandparents Donald (Gooney) Fischer (2002), Lula Jane (Skidmore) Fischer (2003), Anna (Ryan) Evans (1953), and David Evans (1984); uncles Mickey Leo Fischer (1980), Laverne Johnson (1975), Jerry Walsh (2008), David Sutter (2022); and aunt Jeannine (Evans) Walsh (2017). He was also preceded in death by cousin Kimberly (1974) and special cousin, best friend Angel (1997) Gratz.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, July 3 at 12:30 p.m. at Ss. Mary & Paul Catholic Church in Mineral Point. Burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation was held 9:00 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Monday at the church. Fr Alex Carmel will officiate. The Gorgen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be setting up a memorial fund for Ryan's children.
