Carolyn Jean Glover, 81, of Barneveld, went to be with the love of her life, Terry, on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023. Carolyn was born Dec. 7, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Hebert Eugene (Buck) Privett and Ruth Hazel Norton Privett. She was the oldest of four children. Growing up in Oklahoma she was taught the value of hard work, working side by side with her family.

Carolyn met Terry while attending high school in Brush, Colo., where she participated in choir, drama and pep club. They were sweethearts from the day they met and later married June 21, 1959, in Brush. Terry and Carolyn had four beautiful children, Terri Lynn, Michael, Lesa and Barbi.

Carolyn worked as a homemaker, waitress, and preschool teacher and volunteered her time with various organizations. She loved working in her flower gardens and was very proud of the copper plate awarded to her at the Summit County Fair for her prized holly hocks. Carolyn loved little children and was always a big kid at heart. She could always be found playing dress up, dancing in the kitchen and making mud pies with the grandkids. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and tole painting. She loved animals and especially her many beloved dogs.

In February 1976, Carolyn was honored with the highest award given by the American National Red Cross for saving and sustaining the life of an infant, after which she was known as "Doc."

Carolyn is survived by three daughters, Terri Lynn Glover of Phoenix, Ariz., Lesa (Lonny) Moyer of Barneveld and Barbi (Zane) DeWeese of Coalville, Utah; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-children; and siblings, Orvetta Quiseberry (Bobby) of Kansas, and Stewart Ryan (Yvette) of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Terry; son, Michael Scott Glover; and sister, Connie.

Special thanks to the caregivers at Agrace HospiceCare for the loving care they provided Carolyn, especially her nurse, DeAnne Boxrucker-Hoffman, and social worker Jessica Jerry. They cared for her with such compassion, loving her like their own.
