In her free time, she took pleasure in crocheting, fishing, camping, shucking walnuts, and gardening. In recent years, she would even go "mudding" in her power wheelchair because she couldn't stand not being in her garden. Emma and Gary enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas every year. Emma was bubbly and fun to be around and had a great sense of humor. Her family was the most important thing in her world and they always came first. She was close with her many siblings and beloved by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Emma is survived by her husband of nearly 52 years, Gary Friedrich; five children, Robert Friedrich, Karl (Rachel) Friedrich, Kristal (Ben) Baggett, Rebecca Lewellyn, and Heidi (Chris) Tainter; twelve grandchildren, Ashley Friedrich, Zachary Friedrich, Amber Friedrich, Kayden Friedrich, Amaya Friedrich, Knox Friedrich, Kylee Baggett, Kassie Baggett, Emmalee Friedrich, Jackson Olson, Brooklyn Tainter, and baby Brixlee Friedrich (arriving soon); two great-grandchildren, Edward Grove and Zoey Grove; seven brothers, Harry Christianson, Alvin (Jodie) Christianson, Allen Christianson, Phillip (Katee) Christianson, Joseph (Mary) Christianson, Marvin Christianson, and Michael (Roxanne) Christianson; six sisters, Judy (Dennis) Groom, Patricia (Jim) Jungbluth, Nancy (William) Lamke, Gynith (Tim Rosenbaum) Meckley, Phyllis (Larry) Meckley, and Mary (Scott) Wiest.
In death, Emma is reunited with her parents, Lloyd and Marie Christianson; brother, Dennis Christianson; sister, Michelle Christianson; and grandson, Alex Olson.
