Richard W. Grimm, "Rick" age 71, of Verona, died Sunday, April 2, 2023, peacefully at home with his family at his side after a three-plus-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Rick was born June 20, 1951, to Bernard and Anna Grimm in Dodgeville, WI.

Rick served in the Army from 1970-1972. After basic training he was stationed in Bamberg Germany.

On April 14, 1973, Rick married Jill Clifton at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Montfort. Together they celebrated over 49 years of marriage. Rick started his career with Wick AgraBuilders and in 1980, went on to establish Grimm Builders, Inc.

Rick came from an avid wrestling family and was instrumental in building Verona's youth wrestling program where he coached for many years. His passions were fishing, hunting and spending time at Lake Wisconsin.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Anna Grimm; Nancy Clifton (sister-in-law); Marvin and Mary Jean Clifton (father and mother-in-law).

Rick is survived by his wife, Jill; daughter, Sadie (Chad) Dahlk; and son, Seth (Andrea) Grimm; four grandchildren: Hanna and Madeline Dahlk and Martin and Louis Grimm; brothers: Wayne (Janice) Grimm, Gary (Laurie) Grimm; and sister, Diane (Tom) Esser; brother-in-law, Dave (Joyce) Clifton; and sister-in-law, Lorrie (Peter) Briehl; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at Dahmens at Hawks Landing, Verona, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Verona, WI, on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to pancan. org and Agrace.org/Donate
