Dodge-Point girls win, boys 2nd

Dodgeville-Mineral Point girls won and the boys finished second at the Sparkey Reynolds Invitational Track Meet held Friday.
The girls posted 103 points to top Cuba City's 69 with Darlington third at 58.5. There were 20 teams competing.
The boys hit 69 points trailing prairie du Chien's 81 with 21 teams competing.
Syd Staver was the lone individual winner posting 16'8" in the long jump, but the girls captured the top spot in three of the four relays.
The 4x100 relay team of Jaynie Gorgen, Sara Polinag, Jaycie Runde and Jalissa Weier won in 51.91 wile the 4x200 team of Marissa Parkin, Staver, Madison Stumpf and Weier took the top spot in 1:48.2.
The 4x400 team of Staver, Stumpf, Weier and Malorie johnson won in 4:16.19. Each of those three wins were by 1.5 to over 5 seconds.
The 4x800 team of Josie Jabs, Sydney Judd, Alyssa Sullivan and Hannah Tremelling took third in 10:28.91 with Darlington the winner in 10:19.86.

Leading the way for the boys team were three 800 meter runners, all who placed.
Gerrit Bakker won in 1:59.3 with Isaac Grunow 3rd at 2:01.57 and Peyton Tranel took 8th in 2:07.62.
Henry Keith won the 3200 in 10:22.31.
