Red Cross Blood Drive a huge success in Mineral Point
The Mineral Point Blood Drive was a great success as so many people played a big part! Most of all it was all the donors that came to give blood to save lives. There were 104 presenters! They are listed here.
There was a tremendous turn out and the Red Cross collected 109 units in total with many giving doubles.
The committee would like to give a huge shout out to all of the people who made this possible: Randy Place and the Red Cross staff, the sponsor, Mike Wagner of First Weber Realty, Judy Ascher and the Rescue Squad of Mineral Point for use of their building, Steve and Heidi Nelson with the Boy Scouts for taking posters to the businesses, Janelle, at the Democrat and Mike at the Chronicle for posting our articles for free and of course the many volunteers: Shirley Chambers, Peggy Reger, Neva Kendall, Mary Moore, Sandee Beaman, Geri Austin, Pat Forbes, Rosemary Brodbeck, Verna Pilling, Ann Weier and Mary Rink.
A special surprise for the Red Cross staff was food brought in by Tony's Tap and staff. Thanks Tony!...
