Dodgeville Days set for August 17-19
This year's Dodgeville Days will feature three days of events special to the Dodgeville community!
Dodgeville Days will begin on Thursday, August 17 with the 58th Annual Dodgeville Kiwanis Chicken BBQ, held at Harris Park Ley Memorial Pavilion. Skip cooking dinner on Thursday and head up to the park to enjoy a chicken dinner and musical entertainment by The German Band, a group consisting of many local musicians.
Dodgeville Sidewalk Sales will begin the following day on Friday, August 18 at 9:00 a.m. Many businesses will have items under tents in Dodgeville's downtown, with a nice mixture of goods to be found. The sales end at 2:00 p.m., but continue Saturday as well.
From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., emergency vehicles will be on display for families to observe, and emergency personnel will be on scene to explain what happens in the case of an emergency.
Be sure to rise bright and early on Saturday, August 19 to get good deals at the Dodgeville Farmers Market, held each Saturday from 8:00-11:00 a.m. in the Dodgeville United Methodist Church parking lot.
Then, head up to Harris Park for a free Dodgeville Days Fun Run/Walk, organized by Upland Hills Health. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. and is open until 8:45 a.m. The run begins at 9:00 a.m., and includes a one mile kids run and a 5K run/walk.
Participants are eligible to receive door prizes and a goody bag full of Dodgeville Days coupons. If you register for the run before Friday, August 11, you will be guaranteed a free t-shirt. Registration can be done online at:
Sidewalk Sales continue on Saturday from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., and emergency vehicles will also continue to be on display.
If you need a refreshing snack mid-day, head over to the Dodgeville United Methodist Church, where church volunteers will be selling root beer floats from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. All proceeds will go toward the church's boiler fund.
Later that evening from 4:30-7:00 p.m., the Dodgeville United Methodist Church will be hosting a Caferteria Supper at their parish. All are welcome to join.
The Dodgeville Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes residents from near and far to enjoy what Dodgeville has to offer during this year's Dodgeville Days.
